Completely Web-Based Student Information System for Higher Education

History

For over eighteen years, we have worked with institutions of higher education throughout the world. We started with a custom contract to build a student information system for a small college in Connecticut. The project was completed on time and within budget, but we soon realized technology and requirements constantly change and our initial effort was only a starting point.  We needed to put a team together to create a scalable, modular product that could adapt to a changing world—and that's what we did.

During the early part of the nineties, we developed our PC-based system, SONIS, for small schools throughout the US.  It met the needs of schools at the time but we quickly recognized the need to utilize the client/server model as well as the world wide web.  We immediately started to develop SONISWEB so that customers could share resources more easily and access services remotely.  Soon, larger colleges and universities were using SONISWEB.  We now offer hosting services to more than a hundred schools throughout the world using this solution.
